The Journey
Making a handkerchief!
This is my first blog post, I have decided to write something everyday, God willingly. No ChatGPT help but just me talking about the journey I have had with God, plants, interior decor, handcrafted items and life in general. I had to go back to the beginning of the previous sentence to put God first. To be clear I am referring to God The Father, God The Son (Jesus Christ my Saviour) and God The Holy Spirit.
My journey starts with God, He knew me before I was formed in my mother’s womb (Jeremiah 1:5) and He is the One who gave me the passions and gifts I have and also knew the limitations and fears that I would face on this journey.
As far back as I can remember, maybe around preschool age, I was interested in knitting because I watched my mother knit and I wanted to try as well. She taught me and I was hooked and there started my journey of handcrafting. Back in the day, we were taught sewing in primary school, this started around Grade 3, when all 7 – 8 year old girls were introduced to their first sewing project – making a handkerchief!
